Mae Hutchinson is an artist based in New York City. Her work is grounded in physicality and attention, forces that she often grapples with in an increasingly digital age. She uses collage and pattern-making across mediums in order to dissect, reassemble, and recycle everyday life. Mae incorporates systems that live under the surface, pulling from imagery of body parts, veins, rivers, and architectural ruins.

She graduated with a BFA in Studio Art from New York University, where she developed a background in craft arts, printmaking, and sculpture. She minored in Integrated Design and Media at the Tandon School of Engineering, bringing elements of technology into her practice.
