“Undergrowth visualizes roots, maps, and body parts as they merge and transform, documenting an ongoing cultivation of personal myth. Through sculptures and watercolors, underlying architectural and bodily structures come to the surface — piled, twisted, and compressed. Drawing from visual systems such as veins, rivers, ruins, plants, and the human body, the project compiles and fuses seemingly disparate imagery. Descruction and reconfiguration allows a distant, unnameable, and uninhabitable place to take form.”
